Catholic school SHOULD I LIE?

Weve been assighned a paper on what we think of god and its for religion. Wel the teacher is VERY VERY VERY catholic. I mean she wants us t tell her what we thnk, but religious people get weird sometimes when it comes to non believers LIKE MYSELF yes, unless you want to fail
  • catholic school?
    omg..!
  • Just write your opinion. If she doesn't like it, tell the principal she is discriminating against you.
  • When I went to a Catholic school we would get in trouble if we didn't follow that schools beliefs. So yes do lie on it just make sure that its always that the nun wants to hear first before you write it.
  • No, you shouldn't lie. What you should do is respectfully articulate your viewpoint. Moreover, you should be able to do this without fear of repercussions.

If you feel that your teacher is incapable of judging your work on its own merits, rather than how closely your opinions match hers, then you may want to compromise your integrity as well.

If you write a paper that reflects your own opinion and you get a bad grade because of your teacher's bias, you're going to be angry. If you write a paper that reflects your teacher's opinions, you're going to feel guilty.

Make the decision that will let you sleep at night.
  • If she truly is catholic do you really think she would rather you lie or tell her the truth? If she truly is Catholic then I'm guessing she would rather have you write your true opinions instead of a blatant lie. Just be respectful of her religion even if you don't believe it and everything should be fine.
