So, let’s take a look at what I am calling cheap. I can go to Wal-Mart and get any votive candle for about $.50 USD. To me, this is pretty darn cheap. However, there are times you may need them even cheaper. Let’s say you need 1000 votive candles. Purchasing them at $.50 USD is going to cost you $500 USD. You may be able to find them as cheap as $.35 USD. This is going to cost you $350 USD. As you can see, there are times that cheap votive candle are necessary.
1. You can shop at specialty stores when they have sales for great prices on cheap votive candles. Sometimes, you can get them for about 75% less when the specialty store is changing seasonal candles, or the specialty store is closing out a specific line of votive candles. Usually, specialty candle stores will have candles that are both extremely expensive, and extremely cheap. You are offered a gambit of styles, colors, and sizes to meet your needs at that moment. You can also ask about candles that have “errors”. Sometimes, stores will sell these to you, but not have them on the shelf. These have a flaw in them that make them imperfect. However, if you are in the market for cheap votive candles, this is a great flaw for you.
2. Looking for cheap votive candles? Why not try to purchase bulk at wholesale prices. I have seen places where you can purchase large number of candles for a reduced rate. One place will sell you 10,000 votive candles for $.05 USD. This is awesome, if you need that many candles. You can find almost any number that is prepackaged together that will make your votives cheap. I am not usually fond of purchasing bulk candles because you usually get stuck with a single color, and a single aroma. I saw a great deal at a local crafting store: 100 plum candles for only $20 USD. This is awesome, but I really will never in my lifetime use that many plum candles.
3. If you still cannot find those cheap votive candles you are looking for, you could always take up making your own. Making your own candles saves a lot of money, and you get to make them the way you want. Usually, you can use old wax in conjunction with new wax for this as well. I promise, you ever start making your own candles, you will not stop. Candle making is extremely addicting.
